tps Team
Since 1988 tps has retained some of the best and most experienced talent in the industry. Our team ranges from broadcast engineers to professional project managers, training curriculum developers, technical writers and graphic designers. We all share a passion for the work we produce, and we bring decades of solid engineering design, project scoping and training management to the project.
When launching expensive and company-critical broadcast television systems, you want the right people around the table. We believe we can come on board and make an immediate impact on achieving your goals.
Murray Wilson, President
Mr. Wilson has worked in the professional broadcast television industry for over 20 years, and has been closely involved in the industry’s ongoing transition from analog to digital. He has played an integral role in the development and deployment of some of the largest multi-channel television broadcast facilities in the world, working in North America, Europe and Asia.
Mr. Wilson has consulted at an engineering level in all aspects of broadcast television, including content production, content management, distribution and transmission. He has established an excellent reputation in the start-up of several large-scale facilities. This is based on his extensive knowledge of workflow design, operational procedural development, and resource optimization. He has also designed and implemented a number of extensive training programs to support the industry’s adoption of burgeoning technologies, including IPTV.
Mr. Wilson is a consultant to the Willis Group and and active member of The Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers.
Josef Marc, Vice President, Media Systems & Operations
Verizon FiOS TV, DirecTV, CBS Olympics, The Game Show Network, Celebrity Cruises “Cyberships” and Times Square’s first JumboTron video screen are among the more high-profile and high-pressure launches where Josef led teams at Sony or Ascent Media in a successful on-time turnkey systems integration. He greatly enjoyed consulting to Sony Corp.’s highest-level executives, analyzing their investment opportunities in rich-media Web services, interactive television, broadcast systems integration, a new Telco sales channel, and OEM medical electronics. For Cablevision’s conversion to digital cable, he chaired the Interface Control Working Group with 70 active members from 20 vendors.
Mr. Marc spent the dot-com era as CTO of a regional phone company (a CLEC) building out a triple-play IPTV voice/data/video network for B2B customers. More recently, Josef acted as Owners’ Representative to AARP Broadcast and The Weather Channel for their studio upgrades and migration to HDTV. He is a member of the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE), and a contributor to the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) and trade publications.
Art Muthiora, Director of Business Development
Mr. Muthiora has spent the bulk of his career as a solutions consultant, project manager, and director of business development primarily in the e-learning sector. Most recently, he has been working on global solutions in the amorphous space where telecommunications, broadcast technology, and IT have converged.
He has managed one of tps’s major IPTV projects, undertaken by a Major North-American carrier that launched a national digital television and Internet service in 2004. He led the operational readiness and launch training team of the broadcast operations facility and nation-wide operation centers as the network expanded. He has extensive experience in the deployment of applied technology solutions. His expertise is in the delivery of training using learning management-based systems and focusing on strategies for rapid development and deployment of strategic corporate knowledge.
Mark Dlugozima, Project Management
Mr. Dlugozima brings over 15 years of training development and project management skills to tps from the wireless telecommunications industry. He understands complicated engineering drawings and documentation, and turns hard-to-grasp concepts into instructor-led and web-based training packages that students can readily absorb and apply. Mr. Dlugozima has also led high-profile projects for clients in the video over IP space.
Carol North, Senior Technical Writer
Ms. North has more than 20 years of experience as a consulting technical writer to major telecoms and Fortune 50 companies throughout the continental United States. The more complex the technical discipline she is asked to document, the happier she is. Ms. North has, for example, written specifications and process flows for telecom Global System for Mobile Communications/General Packet Radio Service (GSM/GPRS) billing software and an introduction to robotics for manufacturing technicians. United Airlines (UA) contracted with North for the development of automated templates on which they designed UA’s global data and voice network.
Ms. North’s specialties are documenting business policies, procedures, and flows; designing and implementing instructional materials; and developing end-user documentation for software applications, including for a suite of computer-aided design (CAD) programs.
Bradley Taylor, Senior Software Engineer
Mr. Taylor has over 10 years of broad experience in many areas of software engineering and web development. He has designed and built custom and commercial software solutions and web-based applications using object-oriented, web and relational database technologies including C++, Ruby, Ruby on Rails, PHP, SQL, XML, CSS, JavaScript, and HTML. He is the developer of LaunchPad(TM), our web-based project management tool.
